Yes. The proposed
school has been carefully designed, not only to maximize the efficient
and effective use of staff, facilities and other resources, it has
been designed to ensure appropriate separation and control of the
various age groups. Physical separation, continuous adult supervision,
and effective bell schedules will ensure younger and older students
do not intermingle unless it is an organized activity. In addition,
the building design features the following elements:
- 5th and
6th graders have a separate entrance from 7th and 8th graders,
and the high school entrance is on the opposite side of the building.
- Buses will
deliver students to their respective entrances.
- 5/6 and
7/8 have separate restrooms and each wing has its own commons
area.
