Elementary School has, for some time, been short of the needed
number of rooms. With the start of all-day kindergarten, the shortage
is now critical. One current kindergarten classroom is undersized
and is not equipped as a kindergarten room. Another room at the
school is being used simultaneously for at least three different
needs, sometimes four. The two new classrooms will be designed
and constructed specifically for kindergarten.

Elementary School has never had a gymnasium for indoor PE or other
uses. Although there has been a multipurpose room, it is inadequate
for all the functions that must be scheduled there. At present,
lunch, breakfast, all indoor PE, assemblies, etc. are held in
the small multipurpose room, which also must be used for storage.
The result is an overcrowded and, at times, unsafe setting for
children.
