- We do not
believe it is educationally sound to have a single grade separated
from other levels. It is a very inefficient use of facilities
and staff, and it isolates these students. In addition, it results
in excessive transitions for students. Our 4th, 5th and 6th grade
students have three different schools in three years.
- Williamstown
Elementary is a facility that has served our district well. However,
in many ways, it has outlived its usefulness as a public school
facility (no library or music room, inadequate computer facilities,
and because they must be shared with other school buildings, limited
access to support services).
