The Location of the new middle school:

The new 5-8 middle school will be attached to the northwest side of Perry-Lecompton High School. The decision to attach the middle school in that location was made for several compelling reasons. This location allows for high school and middle school classes to each use the current band room. A new vocal music room located in the middle school, adjacent to the band room, will also be used for middle and high school classes. This building location also makes for close and easy access for middle school students to the high school interior gymnasium and shop area while maintaining effective separation between groups.

Parking for 5-8 middle school teachers, parents, and visitors will be re-served on the north side of the current high school. High school student parking will be located on the south side of the high school to provide 9th-12th grade students access to the new south main student entrance.
