| During the planning
stages of the proposal, the board of education, the district’s
school site councils, and the administrative team discussed several
possible features and improvements that, in the final outcome, could
not be included. It was necessary for the board to prioritize the
proposal in an effort to keep the cost as low as possible, and provide
for the largest benefit for a reasonable cost to the taxpayers of
the district. The architect estimates the budget for a 500 seat auditorium
/ performance hall, including stage and sound equipment, support spaces
(shop and dressing rooms, etc.), and miscellaneous costs, would need
to be $1.65 million. |
