The high school will have a new competition gymnasium, locker rooms and a weight room. The gymnasium will provide improved management of visitors through easily monitored access to the high school. The high school will also be renovated to include a larger and more efficient food service area, improved computer lab and south main entrance for high school students. The construction and renovation will begin the summer of 2005 and be completed by late summer of 2006.
The middle school building is designed around the concept of team teaching and collaboration. This is accomplished by placing 5th/6th and 7th/8th grades each in a wing. This design provides some separation for each wing and allows all students to share the library, band room, music room and physical education facilities. Large and small group areas would be provided to accommodate team teaching and meet the needs of all students. Up-to-date technology would be available to facilitate the delivery of the instructional programs. The facility would provide for health services, music, art, science and resource rooms for children with special needs. Construction of the new 5-8 middle school would begin in the summer of 2005 and be completed in late summer of 2006.

A renovation project was completed at Perry Elementary School this past summer, without raising additional taxes for the district. The project, completed in the southeast corner of the building, provided more efficient use of space to provide for two kindergarten rooms, a music room, a 4th grade room and a lunchroom.
The elementary building design would include the addition of two large kindergarten classrooms on the east side of the primary wing and a gymnasium for physical education classes. The gymnasium would be added adjacent to the current multipurpose room to allow for easy storage and movement of physical education equipment between the areas. The gymnasium would be designed with community use in mind. The administration area would be renovated to separate the health support area in order to provide greater privacy for students, enlarge the secretary office space, and improve the teacher resource workroom. Construction and renovations will begin the summer of 2005 and be completed the late summer of 2006.
