- Lecompton
staff parking is expected to be located north of the building
(east of the new gym). Visitor parking may be added west of the
school (between the school and the road). There will be no impact
to the Nature Study Site east of the school.
- Although
it is not yet time for the board to make a final decision, football
parking will undoubtedly be improved. There has been significant
discussion about placing parking in the area adjacent to the football
AND soccer fields (where the existing football practice field
is - south of the soccer field and west and south of the football
field) - which puts it much closer to both facilities, probably
with much easier access all around. This, in turn, would create
the need to relocate practice fields to the area south of the
high school, which is also closer with easier access than the
existing practice fields. All in all, both of those "relocations"
would make it more convenient for everybody involved.
- If Highland
Community College uses the existing middle school, they will need
additional parking. One possible solution is to use the area west
of the middle school and west of the football field.
